“It was a shameful life.”
The man's memorandum begins with such an outspoken confession.
A man falsified himself, deceived others, made irreparable mistakes, and judged a "disqualification" above himself.
But after the man passed away, a woman nosltalgicly talks about him.
"He was a very straightforward, well-mannered god-like good boy."
It is a desperate problematic masterpiece written by Osamu Dazai , asking the meaning of living life as a human.

Introduction
I have seen three pictures of the man.
One is a picture of the man's childhood, presumed to be around 10 years old.
This is a photo of this child, who was surrounded by a large number of women (they seemed to be the child's older sisters, younger sisters, and cousins.) , standing by a pond in the garden with a rough striped ‘Hakama’, tilting his head to the left about 30 degrees, and laughing ugly.
Ugly?
